KUKA AG (Augsburg, Germany) is demonstrating the KUKA Sunrise.OS Med, LBR Med, and KR QUANTEC HC at Arab Health 2024 which is taking place from January 29th, 2024 to February 1st, 2024 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center. Arab Health provides a platform to address and outline global healthcare challenges while providing attendees with opportunities to network with industry leaders from around the world and enables companies to showcase progress and achievements in the sector.

KUKA is a leading supplier of robotic components for medical devices. It is the only global robotics company with an entire business unit dedicated to medical robotics. With more than two decades of experience in medical robotics, KUKA’s team offers services in development, sales, quality assurance, and support, combining expertise in robotics and medical technology. At Arab Health 2024, KUKA is demonstrating LBR Med which stands out as a perfect assistant for diverse tasks in the field of healthcare, from diagnostics to treatment and surgical interventions. The sensitive seven-axis lightweight robot is flexible and easy to integrate into medical products for various medical activities.

KUKA is also demonstrating Sunrise.OS Med, the operating system for the LBR Med, and, together with the included KUKA Sunrise.Workbench Med and KUKA Sunrise.WoV Med, offers all the functions required for the programming and configuration of demanding medical robot applications. Object-oriented programming with Java additionally enables fast application development. In addition, KUKA is presenting the KR QUANTEC HC which offers a wide range of applications with a payload of up to 300 kg. Thanks to additional brakes, the KR QUANTEC HC has even greater safety with a reach of up to 2,700 mm. The robot’s personnel recovery system makes it possible to release the brakes manually and move the robot by hand in unforeseen situations, such as a power failure. The KR QUANTEC HC is equipped with a counterweight system and a pressure sensor that makes it possible to check the pressure during operation and stop the robot if the pressure drops.
