The 2018 edition of Arab Health, the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the MENA region, showcased the latest advancements in health care. The 43rd edition of the four-day exhibition (January 29 to February 1) was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and welcomed more than 4,200 exhibiting companies and 103,000 attendees from 150+ countries.

The 2018 edition of Arab Health saw the launch of the Personal Healthcare Technology Zone, where exhibitors displayed the latest in “Smart” Healthcare Technology that connects patients to physicians and hospitals/clinics. The new platform at Arab Health 2018 enabled Personal Healthcare device manufacturers and service providers to showcase new technology, products and services to thousands of decision makers both regionally and internationally.

Another concept at this year’s Arab Health was Hands-On-Training (HOT), which was first introduced in 2017. The HOT modules were delivered on the exhibition floor with a number of unique programs and allowed high-level participants to train on advanced techniques with the latest state-of-the-art equipment across different modalities, such as Esthetic and Conservative Dentistry, OR Risk Management, Ultrasound, Endoscopy and many more.

Additionally, the Dealers & Distributors Wall at the event helped to facilitate business relations by displaying company and product information and contact details. This allowed Arab Health's 4,100+ exhibiting companies and visitors to contact the listed parties directly for new business.

Accompanying the exhibition were 19 business, leadership and Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences providing the latest updates and insights into cutting edge procedures, techniques and skills. The 2018 edition of the Congress had a wide selection of new conference topics and themes, including Imaging and Diagnostics, Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Biomedical Engineering, Emergency Medicine, Hypertension, Anesthesia, Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, Gastroenterology and Respiratory Medicine, among others.

The Networking Events held during Arab Health saw each day of the exhibition highlight a specific country that is making an impact on the medical devices and products industry. For instance, Northern Ireland was the country of focus on day two of the exhibition, with seven companies from the Northern Ireland Life and Health Sciences sector and two Universities exhibiting at Arab Health and hosting business sessions. Turkey was the country of focus on day three of the exhibition.

Furthermore, in partnership with the Dubai Health Authority, Arab Health 2018 revamped its 3D printing zone to showcase healthcare innovation in 3D printing. A dedicated space at the exhibition featured participants demonstrating the possibilities that 3D printing can achieve for healthcare, including Virtual Surgical Planning (VSP), Implants and Medical Devices, Anatomical Models, Prosthetics, Medical Simulation and Dental.

Arab Health will be followed by MEDLAB, the largest laboratory show in the world, to be held on February 5-8, 2018 that will see over 25,000 laboratory professionals doing business with 600+ international companies. MEDLAB will showcase the latest laboratory management and diagnostics technologies available in the market worldwide, accompanied by CME-accredited conference tracks that will discuss up-to-the-minute discoveries by leading local and international speakers.
