Derungs Licht AG (Gossau, Switzerland) showcased its range of smart lighting solutions for the operating room (OR) at MEDICA 2018, the world’s largest medical trade fair. Over 5,273 exhibitors from 66 nations attended this year’s MEDICA that was held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from November 12-15, 2018.

Derungs offers lighting systems and accessories for healthcare that combine innovative lighting techniques and a functional design. The company’s highlight at MEDICA 2018 was its new minor surgery luminaire TRIANGO 100 with adjustable light color, making it a versatile, luminaire tailored to any need. It offers optimal light conditions for emergency rooms, trauma stations, or general treatment and examination rooms, for surgical and dermatological applications and examinations under optimal light conditions.

Derungs also showcased TENO, its support arm system for holding examination luminaires, minor surgery lights and for flat screens or patient multimedia systems. The individually adjustable spring-supported arm allows optimum support – independently of the attached carrying load, while its minimalist design makes the support arm system easy to clean.

At MEDICA 2018, the company also displayed OPTICLUX, a magnifier luminaire with 1.9x magnification, the latest LED modules, ergonomically tested arm joints and intuitive operation. OPTICLUX’s biggest plus is its daylight-quality light field, its outstanding color rendering properties and its maintenance-free life cycle. As an approved medical device, it can be used in dermatology, human medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine, in laboratories and for monitoring sterilized products.
