MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017, which was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 6-8, 2017, proved to be a record-breaking edition, with the event witnessing 830 companies from 66 countries, 18 national pavilions and country groups, and more than 9,000 quality trade visitors from over 70 countries. This indicated the exhibition’s influence on the region’s burgeoning and fast-growing medical and healthcare industry.

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 is the region’s premier medical and healthcare exhibition with leading exhibitors showcasing their latest medical innovations. Companies from around the world continued to bring in their innovative products and best sellers to the event, making it the industry’s must-attend exhibition. MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2017 provided several opportunities for networking and business matching, with 13,000 meetings requested through the free business matching service. The exhibition also hosted a number of industry-leading concurrent conferences and seminars that saw 650 attendees.

“The exhibition is a record-breaking edition, with a strong showcase of innovations from leading exhibitors as well as highly satisfied visitors. MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND certainly serves the booming medical market of Southeast Asia,” said Mr. Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, organizer of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND. “We also welcomed 25% more visitors than the 2015 edition, of which 33% were from overseas, indicative of the increasing interest from regional healthcare professionals.”

Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang, Minister of Science and Technology, who visited the exhibition said, “MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND continues to grow from strength to strength. At this year’s exhibition there were significantly more Thai companies in attendance and it was reassuring to see so many showcasing and selling their high-tech innovative products and medical devices, and showing an interest in the medical devices sector, proving the huge potential for medical tourism and S-Curve industries as the country’s key growth engines.”

The 12th edition of MEDICAL FAIR ASIA will return to Singapore from August 29-31, 2018, at Marina Bay Sands, while MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND will return for its 9th edition from September 11-13, 2019, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
