An innovative ear, nose and throat (ENT) videoscope solution delivers affordable high definition (HD) video quality to increase diagnostic yield, patient care, and overall performance.

The Vivideo ENT endoscopy system consists of a video processor (CP-1000) and a video naso-pharyngo-laryngoscope (VNL9-CP) which allows traditional fiber endoscopy users to affordably transition their practice to video endoscopy. An extremely small insertion tube (3 mm in diameter) provides insertion flexibility, while the ergonomic, lightweight handle enables smooth and convenient procedures for improved work flow, enabling increased patient throughput and comfort.

An integrated HD video recording system captures and document clinical findings for all purposes, including documentation, peer consultation, and historical comparison. The video processor also allows the recording and reviewing of high speed images of the vocal folds during speech. For increased clarity, the videoscope is illuminated by a halogen light source. The Vivideo ENT endoscopy system is a product of Pentax Medical (Tokyo, Japan).

“The launch of Vivideo is yet another illustration of Pentax Medical's commitment to improving the clinical and economic value of our products for our customers,” said Ganesh Ramaswamy, global president of Pentax Medical. “The launch of Vivideo also marks a milestone in Pentax Medical's journey to develop products based on the needs and requirements of our worldwide base of existing and prospective customers.”
