This platform as well as the new Freedom Evo with pressure-monitored pipetting (PMP) were introduced at Medica 2006 in Dusseldorf (Germany) in November 2006.

In addition, Tecan has developed the Te-PoolSafe pooling option, operated by the new Freedom Evoware sample-oriented software. The Freedom Evo 75 with the RoMa robotic manipulator arm and Te-MagS magnetic bead separation module, designed for molecular diagnostic applications, such as nucleic acid extractions, were also on display at Medica.
