A new clinical chemistry analyzer can perform up to 1,200 tests per hour and has an on-board capacity of up to 63 different tests.

Introduced by Olympus Life Science Europa GmbH (Hamburg, Germany), this latest member of the AU clinical chemistry family, the AU680, is operated through a new and highly intuitive graphic user interface, including embedded videos to support key maintenance steps. More...
A new special fast-track lane performs reruns quickly. To increase automation levels, samples can be loaded via easylink, a new standardized rack tray, for direct transfer from the Olympus OLA 2500 peri-analytical workstation. The AU680 offers fully automated HbA1c measurement without the inconvenience and risks associated with manual pre-treatment.

Triflex reagent dispensing enables the AU680 to perform assays requiring up to three separate reagents. This enhances analytic performance and opens up new possibilities for current and future assays.

Overall, operating costs are reduced by eliminating the need for multiple calibrators via "plug and play” calibration using 2D barcodes.
