The Kodak 9500 cone beam 3D system was introduced by Carestream Health, Inc. (Rochester, New York, NY, USA), has been built on the Kodak 9000 platform, the Kodak 9500 3D system enables users to quickly produce excellent 3D images, ranging from dual jaw to full craniofacial images, more cost-effectively and at a lower dose than conventional medical CT systems.

The Kodak 9500 3D system is well suited for radiology facilities providing cranio-maxillofacial imaging services to dental professionals and medical specialists. With high quality, anatomically correct 3D images down to 0.2 mm voxel size, users are able to utilize the precise image detail of 3D to provide more accurate diagnoses, improved treatment planning, and more efficient patient care.

Image output occurs in Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) formats, supporting flexible output options including customizable report templates, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and medical printer connections. The 3D volumes generated by the Kodak 9500 system can be exported to any other DICOM-compatible software.

Featuring a user friendly and stylish design, the system provides innovative features such as face-to-face patient positioning, which accommodates standing or seated patients, including wheelchair patients, of varying body types and sizes. With the additional ability to control patient dose through variable settings of mA and kV, practitioners can manage the patient dose by focusing on their immediate diagnostic needs.
