Merge Healthcare Signs Agreement with Radiology Detector Distributor in China

(Hong Kong SAR, China), a distributor of charged couple device (CCD) detectors, which are an economic alternative to digital detectors, for digital radiography (DR) systems in the Greater China area. Pangaea will provide the Chinese DR market with a bundled system consisting of Merge CIE (Cedara Image Enhancement) and CCD through their eight offices and wide distribution channels in China.

Many local modality manufacturers have since switched their product lines to address a cost conscious, big volume market.
