Merge Healthcare, Inc. (Chicago, IL, USA), a global corporation focused on health IT interoperability solutions, reported that the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI; Minneapolis, MN, USA), an outpatient imaging provider with more than 58 diagnostic imaging centers in nine US states, has selected Merge Healthcare for its meaningful use needs.

CDI will utilize Merge RIS v7.0 in conjunction with the installed Merge RIS solution to meet the evolving meaningful-use system certification requirements. "Not only was Merge able to demonstrate a clear path to meet Meaningful Use requirements for radiology, it is also providing the flexibility we need to integrate their solution with our existing technology," said Steve Fischer, chief information officer, CDI.

"Innovative providers like CDI are demonstrating how radiologists can meet meaningful use requirements while streamlining their processes and meeting the highest patient quality metrics," said Jeff Surges, CEO of Merge Healthcare. "With more than 90% of radiologists considered eligible professionals for meaningful use, we are excited to create a platform to support this important specialty in the healthcare industry."
