Swissray, a developer of digital radiography systems, will now be offering customers a choice between amorphous silicon flat panel and their patented Quad CCD detector technologies.

Ueli Laupper, Swissray 's senior vice president of sales stated, "Swissray now offers the widest range of DR systems in the market with eight different models and a choice between best of breed detector technologies. Our products offer a solution for any DR application whether it is in a major university hospital, a community hospital, an imaging center, or an orthopedic practice.”

Swissray 's newest system, the ddR Formula, incorporates Swissray 's patent-pending FP-5000 detector. Utilizing Trixell 's 17 ”x 17 ” amorphous silicon TFT flat panel, Swissray has devised a sophisticated panel protection system featuring infrared collision avoidance along with a pro-active shock absorption system for maximum detector protection. The FP-5000 detector provides excellent diagnostic image quality with very low radiation dose and very high detail detectability. All eight Swissray systems feature the unique automated positioning system (APS).

Swissray has also introduced the unique ALLinONE stand for all its ddR systems. This unique stand allows the user to perform advanced DR applications such as scoliosis and long-leg studies as well as weight-bearing examinations.

Swissray has received from Frost & Sullivan (Palo Alto, CA, USA),an international growth consultancy company, the Best Product Value award for their market-leading digital radiography systems.
