Partnership to Integrate Image-Management System

(Chelmsford, MA, USA) has announced a partnership with Brit Systems (Dallas, TX, USA), a leading picture archiving and communications systems (PACS)/radiology information systems (RIS) company, for the integration and distribution of its image-management system.

The partnership between the companies paves the way for providing integrated high-end PACS systems, enabling a significantly faster radiologic workflow and excellent image quality for two-dimensional (2D), 3D, and 4D data. In this manner, consistent data are available throughout the entire hospital enterprise. At the click of a mouse, clinicians and radiologists can access medical data directly from the PACS for diagnosis and patient treatment.

Under the agreement, Brit Systems will integrate the Mercury Visage PACS and Visage CS Thin Client Server in its Roentgen RIS radiology information system. Brit can therefore provide its customers an extended product range covering clinical applications in cardiology, positron emission tomography (PET)-computed tomography (CT), surgery, and orthopedics, and 3D tools.

Furthermore, Mercury will also provide professional services to Brit to provide fast time-to-market turnkey systems for clinics and healthcare institutions.
