Radiology Information System Improves Productivity

A new radiology information system's (RIS) features include: enterprise-wide scheduling capabilities, easy and efficient scheduling interface, and a web portal that includes scheduling and viewing of patient reports.

The RIS also has appointment cancellation tracking and simple rescheduling of exams, real-time patient status tracking, workflow management across the enterprise, embedded dictation/ voice recognition, a robust report editor for transcription, integrated billing and mammography tracking, auto-faxing/email of diagnostic reports, film tracking for outside films (incoming and outgoing), and extensive management and marketing reports. InStar Systems International, Inc. (Colorado Springs, CO, USA), a provider of a range of radiology practice management systems for the diagnostic imaging industry, will present its RIS at the Radiological Society of North America's (RSNA) annual conference in Chicago (IL, USA) in November 2006.

InStar's RIS is a .NET application that is SQL server-based. With this RIS, users are able to maximize income, enhance profitability, improve productivity, and provide relationship-based service to their customers.
