Varian in Top 50 Best-Performing Companies

(Palo Alto, CA, USA) has been named number 14 in the BusinessWeek 50 listing for 2007, the magazine's ranking of the United States' best-performing large public corporations in the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500-stock index.

BusinessWeek used an advanced method for ranking the companies, mainly emphasizing performance on core financial measures, but also considering companies' performance compared with similar companies and other performance indicators. The resulting list, with information about each of the companies, can be viewed on the BusinessWeek website, or in the March 26, 2007, issue of the magazine.
