For its keen understanding of customer needs and demonstrated excellence in new products and technologies within the industry, LabVantage (Bridgewater, NJ, USA) is the recipient of the 2004 Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation.

LabVantage develops solutions for laboratory information management systems (LIMS) that provide value to customers by forming partnerships with the best-in-breed vendors and by designing specific industry applications. More...
For example, the company collaborated with major healthcare vendors to ensure that the Proteomics Accelerator maximizes productivity in the research laboratory. Such partnerships enable the integration of sample and data management with data analysis tools. As a result, researchers are better equipped to handle all aspects of array experiments, incorporate image analysis and spot picking for gel electrophoresis experiments, process peak lists from mass spectrometry data, and query public databases of protein information.

"LabVantage has demonstrated a customer savvy that has enabled it to increase its market share, most notably in the proteomics industry. More than 50% of proteomics LIMS installations are performed using Sapphire LIMS,” noted Nate Cosper, industry manager for Frost & Sullivan, a leading international consulting firm.
