Lab Tests Online in the same period following its launch, an auspicious beginning, considering the differences in population size between the United States and the United Kingdom.

"It is an incredibly important part of modernizing our health service and will make sure that patient experience is the very best, as it should be in the 21st century,” said Health Minister Rosie Winterton.

In the United States, the third year of Lab Tests Online is showing an increase in traffic, largely the result of a recommendation by Prevention magazine, which called it one of the "smartest health sites on the web.” The site hosted its five millionth visitor in February 2004 and anticipates hosting its 10 millionth visitor only 15 months later.
