Posted on 20 Jan 2005
In this age of growing technology advancement, the field of genetics testing is becoming more available to the public, as evidenced by a new walk-in clinic for DNA testing in London (UK).

The clinic is run by DNA Bioscience (London, UK), which offers paternity and sibling testing, whether for an individual, immigration, solicitors, or the courts. More...
"In 2004 we experienced such a huge demand for urgent DNA testing, particularly for those being processed through the immigration service, we felt it was vital to make DNA collections immediately accessible,” explained Rebecca Webster, commercial director of DNA Bioscience. "It was at this point that we decided to relocate our entire operation for the convenience of our client base, and anyone is welcome to walk into our facility at anytime during business hours.”

The company is one of the few DNA testing companies that work with support organizations such as Families Need Fathers and contacts from the British Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy. DNA Bioscience is scheduled to open a selection of offices around the globe within the next 18 months, and already has offices in Germany and France. Paternity testing is increasing in single parent and lone mother families, notes the company.

"DNA Bioscience is able to perform highly specialized testing at very affordable fees because of a highly efficient laboratory,” noted Avi Lasarow, founder of DNA Bioscience.
