Agfa Targets PACS Markets with Regional Approach

Agfa-Gevaert, N.V. More...
(Mortsel, Belgium) has announced the formation of a new regional PACS team dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market. This new entity joins Agfa's established PACS organizations in Europe and North America. The three regions are united under the global umbrella of Impax Solutions headquarters and managed by Robert Cooke.

As a model for strengthening its global structure, Agfa used its successful North America Impax Solutions business. In keeping with this approach, Agfa has developed strong regional teams in Europe and now Asia-Pacific, headed by local managers empowered to regionalize the Impax offering in accordance with market needs.

Agfas PACS team is composed of Agfa, Impax Technology Inc. (jointly owned by Agfa and Mitra Imaging), and Quadrat (a European radiology information system company in which Agfa owns a majority position). The group works closely together to share expertise and technologies as new products and solutions
