Diagnostic Tests for Fertility in Men and Women

An automated infertility diagnostic system is designed to identify the causes of infertility in both men and women, predict the success of fertilization treatments, identify causes of early abortions, and provide a printout of the test results—all in less than two hours.

The system comprises a flowcytometer, five sets of proprietary kits for testing body fluids and cells, and proprietary software. More...
The five tests kits are for the analysis of semen, in vitro fertilization (IVF) success prediction, hormone levels, genital infections, and immunoinfertility. The system, now undergoing clinical trials in Israel, Europe, and the United States, was developed by BioShaf (Tel-Hannan, Israel).

The company says the test system can be installed in any fertility laboratory or gynecologist clinic to replace labor-intensive and subjective microscope methods as a much-needed substitute for lengthy multiphased infertility diagnostics. The system quickly directs a couple to the most suitable treatment, increasing the success rate of assisted reproductive technology.
