Posted on 22 Nov 2000
A strategic alliance has been forged between the Al-Bader Group of Kuwait and Apollo Telemedicine, Inc. More...
(Falls Church, VA, USA) to implement health networks in the Middle East and the subcontinent of India using Apollo's eHealthStat and telediagnostic network.

Using Apollo's telemedicine technologies, doctors and institutions supported by Al-Bader can now have access to online, real-time, secure specialty consultations from the most prestigious hospitals in the United States and Europe without burdening patients with extensive and costly travel. Apollo has been issued a patent on its telepathology technology, which covers any system using a remote-controlled robotic microscope to make pathology diagnoses and is exclusively licensed to Apollo Telemedicine.

"Our goal is to provide integrated, comprehensive, and affordable quality health care services to people living in the Middle East and the subcontinent of India,” said Michael K. Bender, managing director of Al-Bader's International Telemedicine Services division.
