The Barco 19-inch medical cart display integrates product design and patient safety features that have been optimized and certified for use in clinical settings that require regular cleaning and disinfecting, such as exam rooms and emergency departments (EDs). Designed for the Rubbermaid Medical Solutions (Huntersville, NC, USA) line of medical carts, the new display is fully integrated into the cart itself and is constructed with highly durable plastics and rounded edge to optimize safety and cleanliness, making it entirely disinfectable.

The custom-built display features a widescreen aspect ratio (16:9) to provide a large, flexible workspace. Light emitting diode (LED) backlights and an innovative brightness keyboard lock-out feature maximizes battery life to permit long-term operation without the need for frequent recharging, ensuring a long product lifespan and low power consumption. The sealed, splash-proof front and solid housing assure safe operation, and also feature an integrated cable management system that hides cables for clutter-free set-up and usage. The Barco 19-inch medical cart display is a product of Barco (Kortrijk, Belgium).

“With Barco's display, we can assure our customers sufficient run time and infection control to fulfill their requirements for hospital-wide cart mobility and patient safety,” said Jeff Chochinov, director of business development & innovation at Rubbermaid Medical Solutions. “What's especially advantageous about Barco's display is the easy-clean surface and extremely long run time, two features which, until now, have not been available in a point-of-care mobile workstation.”
