Record Participation at Medica

The organizers of Medica 2000, held in Dusseldorf (Germany) in November, have announced that the event set a new record for attendance. More...
Around 126,000 visitors from around the world came to view the newest medical technologies displayed by 3,513 exhibitors from 59 countries. Products on exhibit covered the entire spectrum of medical care, from diagnosis and treatment to inpatient care as well as communication and information processes in the health-care industry.

As in the past, the United States was the leading foreign exhibitor, followed by Italy, Great Britain, and France. According to a survey, visitors at Medica were mainly interested in electromedicine and medical technology (51%), communication and information technology (32%), and laboratory technology and diagnostics (25%). Medica 2001 is scheduled for November 21-24 in Dusseldorf.
