The award commends the company for leveraging its competencies in the diagnostics and imaging field to develop, implement, and maintain clinical information systems with high technologic capabilities.

"Outstanding solutions and services that improve operational efficiencies, optimize workflow across various healthcare settings, and consistently enable customers to realize solid, sustainable clinical and financial outcomes have underlined Siemens Medical Solutions' leadership of the European healthcare information technology industry,” noted Siddharth Saha, a healthcare analyst at Frost & Sullivan, a technologic growth consultancy firm based in Palo Alto, CA, USA.

Among the Siemens' information technology (IT) products is the Soarian healthcare information system, which processes complete clinical data, irrespective of the episode or point-of-care. "Soarian is built around the basics of optimized workflows within the clinical setting, smart user interfaces and embedded analytics designed to monitor and measure key business drivers. The [system's] module is designed to provide patient medical records on an anywhere, anytime basis with emphasis on seamless connectivity with diagnostic workstations,” elaborated Mr. Saha.

In determining Siemens as the recipient of this award, Frost & Sullivan analysts conducted primary research among marked participants, customers, and suppliers, along with extensive secondary and technology research. Brand recognition and a strong pan-European presence are expected to reinforce the company's competitive leadership in the highly fragmented European healthcare space.
