(Nashua, NH, USA), a developer of computer-aided detection (CAD) systems, has announced a technology agreement with Applied Software, Inc., which conducts business as MagView (Burtonsville, MD, USA), a provider of software for the radiology field, with systems for mammography reporting and tracking, radiology information management, radiology scheduling, radiology billing, and radiology management.

Under the terms of the agreement, iCAD's Second Look 300 and 700 CAD systems can be incorporated with MagView's mammography information software to improve speed workflow and productivity. "By partnering with iCAD, we are confident that we are providing customers the best quality and value that CAD has to offer,” said John Zink, director, MagView. "Our ability to offer a combined system enables doctors to function more efficiently while saving time and hardware costs.”

iCAD's Second Look systems help radiologists in the early identification of breast cancer during a mammography scan. MagView's system tracks and reports mammography results using information obtained from iCAD's Second Look system. By combining CAD and mammography reporting functions onto one common workstation, customers benefit from increased productivity, reduced costs, and a smaller footprint comprised of less hardware.

"Both organizations aim to help doctors speed their workflow while maintaining the highest level of accuracy in their diagnosis,” said W. Scott Parr, president and CEO, iCAD. "Linking our CAD systems to MagView enables us to help radiologists detect breast cancer earlier with a smoother and seamless reporting and tracking process.”
