(Livermore, CA, USA) has agreed to merge with Shepard Medical Products, Inc.. Sparta will be the surviving corporation.

Sparta designs and manufactures reusable and single-use specialty medical, surgical instruments, implant devices, equipment, and related accessories. Its products are used in operating rooms, surgery centers, critical care areas of hospitals, physician offices, and rehab clinics. The company's specialized devices include a complete line of microsurgical, oral maxillofacial, neurosurgical, and general surgical instruments.
