Continued Growth Seen for MEDICA 2002

By HospiMedica staff writers
Posted on 08 Oct 2002
MEDICA 2002, the 34th World Forum for Medicine, will be held November 20-23, 2002, again in Dusseldorf (Germany). More...
According to the organizers, the amount of space booked six months before the start of the show was already more than the total amount occupied in 2001. Around 3,600 exhibitors are expected and 120,000 visitors.

To date, 54% of the exhibitors are from countries other than Germany. The leading foreign exhibitors are Italy (217 companies), the United States (167 companies), France (108 companies), and Great Britain (92 companies). The exhibits will showcase the entire spectrum of outpatient and inpatient care: electromedical equipment, medical technology, laboratory equipment and diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, physiotherapy and orthopedic equipment, and information and communication technology.

As in the past, the MEDICA Congress and German Hospital Congress will complement the exhibits. Special programs include a telemedicine forum, a physiotherapy forum, a career forum, and a research forum. Regular features include MEDICA Business Center, exhibitors' lectures, and self-help presentations. More details are available on MEDICA's website (www.medica.de).
