Alliance to Improve Anesthesia Monitoring

By HospiMedica staff writers
Posted on 23 Jun 2003
A strategic distribution alliance has been announced that will integrate an anesthesia workstation with a patient monitoring system in a move to improve patient information at all stages of the anesthesia process.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Frontline Sirius anesthesia workstation of Blease (Chesham, UK) will be integrated with the IntelliVue MP70 patient monitor of Philips Medical Systems (Best, The Netherlands).
The combined capabilities of the workstation and monitor will enable anesthetists to more easily access relevant patient data at the operating theater and prioritize those tasks that need to be addressed immediately. More...
The IntelliVue patient monitor can give anesthetists access to lab results, x-rays, postoperative pain management protocol, and emergency algorithms.

"Our goal is to provide customers with a tightly integrated, comprehensive patient monitoring anesthesia workstation which will ultimately allow clinicians to spend more time with the patient, and not managing the equipment,” said Andrew Ferguson, managing director, Blease.
