A facepiece respirator with unique filtration technology eliminates severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) particles in the air from passing through the facemask, protecting the patient from SARS infection. More...

Tests by the Canadian bureau of health (Health Canada) were conducted at three different exposure periods: 15, 60, and 120 minutes. The results showed that no coronavirus particles were detected in the airstreams that passed through the respirator (T-1000, from Triosyn Corp., Burlington, VT, USA). In June 2004, independent test results from the UK's Center for Applied Microbiology & Research were presented on N95 respirators, including the Triosyn T-1000, at the International Symposium on Protection Against Chemical and Biological Warfare Agents, in Sweden. The test data demonstrated that no other commercially available N95 respirator provides sufficient protection against viruses.

SARS is a potentially deadly respiratory virus, with no vaccine available. According to the World Health Organization (WHO, Geneva, Switzerland), the virus can be transmitted through the air from coughing or sneezing on tiny droplets of bodily fluids.

"Police forces in North America are currently using the T-1000 facemask and we are introducing it throughout the world,” said Pierre Jean Messier, CEO of Triosyn Corp. In extensive third-party laboratory testing, the company's core technology, Triosyn resin, has proven effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. The company states that the resin is versatile and equally effective in fluid, air, surface, and dermatologic applications.
