Ultrasound System for Vascular Imaging

The Telocin diagnostic ultrasound system, developed by Viasys Healthcare, Inc. (Conshohocken, PA, USA), is compact in size, provides a number of transducer options, and allows for the evaluation of treatable major physiologic risk factors for stroke.

In addition, the system provides detection and diagnosis of other life-threatening high-risk vascular conditions including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs). A combination of the ankle brachial index (ABI) and carotid ultrasound scanning can now be rapidly and easily performed, allowing timely intervention to enhance the potential for stroke prevention. The system is suitable for the office practice or as an additional unit in a busy or expanding operating room or vascular lab.
