Agfa HealthCare presented their latest works-in-progress modules for orthopedic surgeons including spine planning and trauma modules. The company also launched a new software tool to simplify complicated orthopedic measurements.

"The sixth generation of Agfa HealthCare's PACS solution, Impax 6.0, enables orthopedic surgeons to optimize clinical and IT [information technology] efficiencies. The solution offers improved access to digital images, specialized tools that support orthopedic procedures, and flexibility in sharing information. The system enables optimized office workflow, resulting in cost-savings and enhanced patient care,” said Mark Zdanowicz, marketing manager ambulatory care, Agfa HealthCare North America.

In addition, at the AAOS meeting, Agfa HealthCare demonstrated the latest computed radiography (CR) systems with a full leg/full spine cassette holder, fully automated image processing and image stitching software.
