Two operating tables and a modular system of table accessories have been specifically designed for surgery on heavyweight and obese patients.

The Titan mobile operating table offers extreme stability for patients weighing up to 450 kilograms. More...
Electric motor-driven joints, precise adjustment, and an intuitive remote control system make the team’s work in the operating room (OR) significantly easier. A motor-driven running gear means that the patient can be positioned on the operating table before being moved into the OR, while an additional lowering wheel assists movement of the table, ensuring that it runs straight. During the actual surgery, the Titan maintains a solid position on its four electric motor-driven extendable feet; the joints and lifting mechanism remain fully functional even with the heaviest of loads. The height, lateral tilt, and Trendelenburg position can easily be adjusted using the electric motor, as can the longitudinal displacement, leg sections, and back plate. Carbon fiber elements enable surgeons to carry out intraoperative X-ray diagnosis where required.

The TruSystem 7500 operating table system is designed for patients weighing up to 360 kilograms. It possesses numerous configuration options, a minimum height of 596 millimeters, and extremely flexible adjustment options, such as a 65° (reverse) Trendelenburg and 30° tilt, all contribute to making the multifunctional operating table system indispensable in any OR. The remote control system can be individually programmed via a touchscreen, so the operating team can simply and rapidly store and retrieve required table positions. Due to its ability to switch tabletops, the TruSystem 7500 can also help to reduce changeover times and increase the efficiency of work procedures in the OR. The Titan and the TruSystem 7500 operating tables are products of TRUMPF (Ditzingen, Germany).
