Next-generation heavy-duty surgical power tools are designed to assist in total joint procedures, such as hip and knee replacements. More...

The Stryker System 7 set of surgical power tools includes a sagittal saw, a dual-trigger rotary saw, a reciprocating saw, a sternum saw, SmartLife long lasting batteries, and a universal battery charger. Among the key advantages of the improved system are a significantly quieter sagittal saw than in previous generations; a rotary hand-piece that offers substantially increased torque providing optimum performance with an improved power-to-weight ratio. Proprietary Lithium-Ion batteries provide a longer, more reliable battery life, increasing efficiency in the operating room (OR).

Additionally, sealed sterilization containers minimize processing time and reduce the use of blue wrap, creating a more sustainable solution. Newly integrated Stryker Operating Room Network (SORN) remote device management enables the transfer of device usage data to support teams to help monitor and recommend ongoing maintenance per the Stryker ProCare 7 program, which provides preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance throughout the system's lifecycle. The Stryker System 7 is a product of Stryker Instruments (Stryker; Kalamazoo, MI, USA).

“Stryker understands that the most effective and successful surgical procedures involve surgeons who are highly confident in the equipment they use,” said Jim Heath, president of global instruments at Stryker. “Our quality-driven research & development team worked with surgeons, biomedical engineers and other healthcare professionals to incorporate their input and enhance our power tools for total joint procedures.”
