The ForceTriad combines with proprietary TissueFect sensing technology with hand or foot activation and an integrated cutting mechanism to provide consistent, controlled tissue effects, sealing and cutting up to and including 7 mm vessels, pulmonary vasculature, lymphatics, and tissue bundles. The LigaSure small jaw instrument is a product of Covidien (Dublin, Ireland), and has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
