The Synergy line was developed by Smith & Nephew Orthopedics (Memphis, TN, USA). The line includes cemented stems, a fracture management stem, and cementless implants.

"I've always found HA to be effective on porous-coated femoral stems, and I look forward to providing my patients with a tapered stem that combines the benefits of a porous proximal third and HA,” said Dr. Dennis Rivero, an orthopedic surgeon at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque (USA). "Smith & Nephew's latest advance really takes Synergy to the next level.”
