A new calibration feedback system (CFS) software developed for diagnostic-imaging displays incorporates two significant features: color calibration and enhanced summary reporting.

Richardson Electronics (La Fox, IL, USA) announced the release of Revision H1 of the Image Systems CFS. More...
Revision H1 provides color calibration for the first time within CFS. Users can now perform color point calibration, color matching, and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 calibrations on color displays.

"The ability to perform color calibration within CFS reflects the growing trend to utilize both color and monochrome displays within a medical diagnostic workstation,” said David Sorensen, director of engineering/healthcare for Richardson Electronics.

CFS Revision H1 also includes enhanced reporting features. Users will now have the ability to create a summary report, in one concise form, of the relevant details about a fully calibrated display system and its environment.

Richardson Electronics' Image Systems brand of products has evolved to provide a complete line of medical imaging display systems for the healthcare information technology (IT) market, including monochrome and color liquid crystal displays (LCDs), video graphics cards, calibration hardware and software, touch panels, custom LCD and cathode ray tube (CRT) displays, mounting systems, and accessories.
