A new app allows doctors to perform telemedicine conferencing using clinical patient data and radiology imaging through a single, intuitive interface.

The ControlStation (CS) App for iPad uses an interface designed specifically for acute care telemedicine, integrating clinical patient data and medical radiology imaging tools through a single user login. The integration of clinical workflow and documentation tools with the intuitive, user-friendly interface creates a rich and robust experience that allows anyone to provide patient care in high-acuity environments. The universal interface supports the full suite of InTouch Health medical devices.

Among the features of the app are Point-to-See and Box-Zoom touch gestures to create seamless far-end camera control; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and FDA compliance ensure safe and secure patient interactions; and the SureConnect platform for backup and utilities. , the CS App for iPad utilizes patent pending technologies to ensure the best connection possible. The ControlStation (CS) App for iPad is a product of InTouch Health (Santa Barbara, CA, USA), and is available for use on the iPad2, iPad3, iPad mini, and iPad with Retina display.

“The advent of the CS App for iPad provides an unmatched interface for doctors to deliver acute care telemedicine,” said Yulun Wang, PhD, chairman and CEO of InTouch Health. “Through one pane of glass, doctors now have at their fingertips all the tools—clinical patient data, medical imaging, and immersive remote presence—to provide complete patient consults from anywhere.”
