Intersurgical Ltd. (Berkshire, UK) exhibited its full range of respiratory products at the 2019 edition of MEDICA, the world's largest trade fair for medical technology, held from 18 to 21 November in Düsseldorf, Germany. More than 5,000 exhibitors from 70 countries presented their newest products and ideas at MEDICA which drew 120,000 trade visitors from over 170 countries. In-patient and out-patient medicine, medical technology, diagnostic systems and electromedical and laboratory equipment were all on display throughout the event. The exhibition welcomed business, research and politics leaders, sharing their insights and findings with thousands of international experts. The immersive program also included a series of forums and conferences.

Intersurgical is a global designer, manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of medical devices for respiratory support. The company provides flexible patient solutions for airway management, anesthesia, critical care, and oxygen & aerosol therapy for use within emergency care, hospitals and also in the home.

At MEDICA 2019, Intersurgical exhibited its ClearLite range of single-use anesthetic face masks which includes seven sizes to meet the clinical needs of all patient types and sizes. Due to its enhanced anatomical design, the ClearLite mask offers superior seal performance with minimum pressure, reducing the risk of unnecessary discomfort or potential trauma. The superior seal assists the clinician in providing optimum manual ventilation of the patient in both anesthetic and emergency situations. Intersurgical also exhibited its Solus Standard range of single-use, sterile, laryngeal mask airways which is ideal for use in both anesthesia and emergency medicine. Solus is made from materials that provide the quality, flexibility and strength required to work effectively within a range of demanding clinical applications, such as pediatric anesthesia. The company also presented its CPAP breathing systems for use with flow drivers with built-in safety valve. The CPAP breathing systems offer active and passive humidification options with a mask or t-piece patient connector and compatible with the most common types of flow drivers used in hospitals.
