Other advantages are a patient-friendly profile and ease-of-use in a doctor's office. Called TMx-2000, the system was recently cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Thermatrx was formed in 1997 by BSD Medical Corp.and other partners to focus on the minimally invasive treatment of noncancerous urologic diseases.
