Some of the world's leading experts on ventilation research will share their expertise and clinical insights at the Symposium on Acute Lung Injury—From Basic Science to Bedside Application, to be held in Strasbourg (France), September 12-13, 2005.

The event will be chaired by Dr. More...
Arthur Slutsky, professor of medicine, surgery, and biomedical engineering at the University of Toronto (Canada). The symposium will feature speakers from Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United States. The speakers will discuss topics ranging from lung recruitment strategies, to cellular and tissue stress failure, to gender and genome in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

The symposium is sponsored by Maquet Critical Care (Solna, Sweden), a leading international provider of medical technology solutions for the intensive care unit and operating room, and a global leader in ventilation.

"We are proud to sponsor this symposium, and hope it will stimulate the migration of scientific knowledge into clinical practice,” said Christian Keller, of Maquet Critical Care.
