By HospiMedica staff writers
Posted on 01 Sep 2005
A new resource called AnesthesiaNow.com offers online professional information for anesthesiologists around the world, helping them to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

The content of AnesthesiaNow.com is guided by an independent advisory board consisting of doctors from Yale Medical School (New Haven, CT, USA), Emory University Hospital (Atlanta, GA, USA), and Queens University (Belfast, UK). More...
The site is managed by the Current Medicine Group (London, UK) and is supported by an educational grant from Organon (Oss, The Netherlands; www.organon.com), a global pharmaceutical marketer whose product line includes anesthesia products.

Following are examples of the information offered to subscribers at no cost: a literature service with links to full-text articles in leading medical journals, featured articles providing a concise review of the latest research and clinical trial findings, and monthly e-mail alerts to ensure that subscribers have instant access to the latest developments in anesthesia. Future content may include case studies, conference reports, and links to key journal sites.

"AnesthesiaNow.com is a new educational site that has been developed to help clinicians in anesthesiology keep up to date with a minimum of effort as well as supporting their attempts to track down information they need,” explained Prof. Paul Barash, an advisory board member and professor of anesthesiology at Yale Medical School.
