“It is important that portable X-ray systems today have the dependability and versatility needed to perform effectively both in a critical care setting, such as the operating and emergency room, as well as for patient bedside exams,” explained Marc Lorenzo, vice president of digital imaging at Del Medical. “The high performance, compactness, and time saving features built in to the new DelWorks DR Mobile are designed to capture images in a fast and efficient manner in the most demanding setting while simplifying technologist workflow.”

The DelWorks DR Mobile can be equipped with either a wired or wireless detector for easy transport and placement. On board is a DelWorks DR workstation with a 19-inch touch screen display utilizing the latest version of the DelWorks DR workstation software. Images can be previewed within seconds after exposure and easily transferred via wired or wireless connectivity to the hospital network.

Other features of the DelWorks DR Mobile are (1) a high output of 32 kW allows for fast exposure times, reducing motion artifact and optimizing penetration of dense anatomy; (2) telescopic, easily maneuverable tube arm with collimator handle “inching” controls for exact tube positioning; (3) sophisticated charging system design assures long-lasting battery life; (4) a dual-mode operation that allows for easy switching between the built-in DR and computed radiography (CR).
