Portable System for Postoperative Pain

Reduced pain can increase patient mobility and contribute to faster recovery. The latex-free disposable pump, called DonJoy PCD, integrates a proprietary syringe reservoir with a mechanical driver. Gradient markings on the pump enable medical personnel and patients to monitor the amount of local anesthetic that is being administered. The pump is marketed by dj Orthopedics, Inc.
