Posted on 12 Jun 2007
Analogic Corporation (Peabody, MA, USA) and CAS Medical Systems (CASMED, Branford, CT, USA) have signed an agreement granting worldwide exclusive rights to CASMED to market and sell the Lifeguard family of non-invasive patient monitors. More...
The monitors will be co-branded with both the CASMED and Analogic names.

The Lifeguard family of monitors includes the highly portable, versatile Lifeguard I vital signs monitor targeting low-acuity areas; the Lifeguard II that measures electrocardiograms (ECGs), heart rate (HR), spot oxygen saturation (SpO2), maternal non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), temperature, respiration, end-tidal carbon dioxide (CO2), and optional non-invasive cardiac output via impedance cardiography (ICG); the Lifeguard ICG, a compact, stand-alone, non-invasive cardiac output and hemodynamic status monitor; and the Lifeguard Vue central nurses' station. The Lifeguard family also includes the Fetalguard Lite fetal monitor, and the Fetalguard Lite – NIBP that monitors pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH).

"We are pleased to be adding the Lifeguard family of patient monitors to complement our existing vital signs monitors. Co-branding with the trusted Analogic brand-name will enable us to provide our customers with an even wider range of superior, specialized non-invasive monitoring products,” said Andrew Kersey, president and CEO of CASMED.

Analogic Corporation is a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced health and security systems and subsystems sold primarily to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
