Posted on 14 Apr 2010
A portable, easy-to-use electrocardiogram (ECG) system helps doctors reach patients they could never reach before.

The MAC 600 resting ECG weighs only 1.2 kilograms and is powered by a long-lasting, energy-efficient, lithium ion battery that power up to three hours of use on one charge, the equivalent of up to 250 ECG tests. More...
Easier-to-use technology enables clinicians to test more patients in less time, increasing access to high-quality healthcare for everyone. A HookUp Advisor indicates the accuracy of ECG signal quality, avoiding costly repeats and supporting faster patient testing. An intuitive keypad is used for simple, one-touch operation, and a clear display allows for accurate, instantaneous results review, eliminating the need to print the ECG.

Advanced on-screen preview of the waveforms and 12-lead color display provides a clear results review without the need for printing, and Marquette 12SL analysis interpretation enables digital ECG workflow for faster time to treatment. In addition, the MAC 600 offers secure digital (SD) card storage-- similar to a digital camera--of the ECGs, enabling fast downloading and printing from any personal computer or printer equipped with a card reader.

By connecting the MAC 600 to the optional CardioSoft ECG Viewer, the device can be transformed into a complete ECG acquisition and storage system, with access to thousands of ECG tests available through a searchable database. An added feature is the ability to save ECG results as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file, which eliminates the need for costly proprietary review software, making ECG technology more accessible and more affordable worldwide. The MAC 600 is a product of General Electric (GE) Healthcare (Chalfont St. Giles, United Kingdom).
